Wire Rope Testing - WRT / MRT

 CIS provides wire rope inspection using Visual Inspection (VT) and Magnetic Rope Testing (MRT) to evaluate the condition of steel wire ropes used in lifting and material-handling equipment.

Visual inspection provides an assessment of the rope's external condition, while MRT provides an additional examination for defects that may not be visible from the outside.

Magnetic Rope Testing is a non-destructive testing method that magnetizes the wire rope and measures changes in magnetic flux to identify localized defects and changes in the metallic cross-sectional area of the rope.
