Magnetic Particle Testing - MT

Magnetic particle testing is a fast and cost effective way of locating surface cracks and other defects open to the surface that might not be detected through visual inspection.

The three basic types of tests used are dry powder, white contrast wet method and wet fluorescent magnetic particle test (WFMT).

Magnetic Particle Inspection MPI can be used to inspect welds, high stress areas or entire surfaces of any ferromagnetic materials.

We have inspectors certified to CGSB Standard 48.9712 Level 2 and SNT-TC-1A
